Gallery Information

Outpost for Contemporary Art is a non-profit organization that generates art programs in a variety of contexts and settings in Los Angeles and internationally. Programs are organized into geographically-based two-year cycles to provide a structure for extended exchange and reciprocity between cultures. Outpost initiates co-productions with other institutions to align resources and offer artists greater opportunity to realize ambitious projects. Outpost also produces artists’ proposals for temporary venues and public spaces to offer artists opportunities to work outside of the gallery setting and to bring creativity to places where people don’t expect to encounter art.
