Carrie Secrist Gallery, which has been in operation for 14 years, has a highly regarded reputation with an exhibition program that both fosters the career of emerging artists and offers an open platform for internationally established artists to realize new bodies of work or special projects. Acting simultaneously as an incubator for new talent and as a stable venue for artists who already boast an important exhibition history, Secrist Gallery has found itself in what we consider
to be a promising and gainful position. As neither solely an experimental project space, nor entirely dedicated to already well-known talent, the gallery is in a provocative situation.

Demonstrating the gallery’s mission to present fresh work by young artists, juxtaposed with their better-known contemporaries is a strategy that has worked very well within our exhibition program— collectors, curators and critics continually appreciate a program that actually offers the “history of contemporary art”... the visual link between 20th and 21st Century movements.

Our booth plan proposal for the fair includes work by the following gallery artists: Matthew Brown, Brad Durham, Joy Episalla, Kim Keever, Robert Lostutter, Liliana Porter, and Hiro Yokose.
